Out of Chaparral High School, Damon Williamson took his talents north to Bismarck, North Dakota and the University of Mary Marauders — a Division II program where he would begin building the statistical and mental foundation of a professional defensive back.
True Freshman Debut — 2019
Williamson wasted no time making an impact. As a true freshman in 2019, he was inserted into the starting lineup and played in all 11 games at cornerback — a testament to both his preparation and his raw talent.

COVID Resilience — 2020
Like every college athlete of his generation, Williamson had a season stripped away by the COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than let the disruption derail him, he used the time off to refine his technique, study film, and prepare for the opportunities ahead. That resilience — the ability to push through circumstances beyond his control — is a hallmark of his character.
The 2021 Return
Back on the field in 2021, Williamson picked up right where he left off — adding 15 tackles, 0.5 TFL, and 2 more pass breakups to his resume. His ability to fill multiple roles in the secondary, from man coverage on the boundary to zone reading in nickel packages, was becoming his calling card.
His time at UMary gave him something no recruiting ranking can provide: real game reps against physical opponents, refined instincts, and the mental toughness to compete at every level of the game.
