BISMARCK, ND — In a strong debut at the Division II level, true freshman cornerback Damon Williamson suited up for all 11 games for the University of Mary Marauders in 2019, recording 19 total tackles (15 solo) and 2 pass breakups.
For a true freshman to earn consistent playing time in a college program — let alone start or appear in every game — is a significant accomplishment. Williamson's physical tools, work ethic, and football IQ gave the Marauders' coaching staff no choice but to put him on the field.

The Marauders went 2–9 on the season (NSIC), with wins over Concordia-St. Paul (31–28) and Minnesota Crookston (41–14). Playing every game as a true freshman in Division II football against experienced upperclassmen is a statement. Williamson's sophomore season — and beyond — will be one to watch.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Damon Williamson wrapped up his senior season at Chaparral High School as one of the most productive defensive backs in the Valley, recording 33 total tackles and 3 passes defensed over 10 games while serving as team captain.
The safety/cornerback hybrid was a constant disruptor in opposing backfields, combining physical run support with quality coverage in man and zone assignments. His ability to shift between CB and safety gave the Firebirds' defensive coordinator flexibility that few teams could match at the high school level.
| GP | Tackles | PD | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 33 | 3 | CB/S — Team Captain |
Williamson graduates with the Class of 2019 and is expected to continue his football career at the collegiate level. His combination of athleticism, football intelligence, and leadership has drawn interest from multiple programs.
"Damon is the kind of player who makes everyone around him better," said a Chaparral coach. "He has a bright future."

After the Pac-12 chapter at Arizona State, Damon Williamson made a move that spoke to his maturity and self-awareness as a player: he took his graduate career to Clark Atlanta University, one of the nation's premier HBCUs and a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
The decision was strategic. With the Pac-12 experience on his resume and a degree in hand from ASU, Williamson wasn't just looking for playing time — he was preparing his game for the professional level. Clark Atlanta offered him the opportunity to be a featured defensive back, take on a leadership role, and sharpen the skills he'd need to compete in professional football.
Listed as a defensive back / safety on the Panthers' roster, Williamson brought Pac-12 experience and Division II production to an HBCU program hungry for veteran leadership. While the program's public statistical database doesn't break out individual game-by-game data at the granular level, his presence as a seasoned, multi-program veteran was felt throughout the season.
| Category | Detail |

| School | Clark Atlanta University (HBCU — Atlanta, GA) |
| Conference | Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) |
| Position | Defensive Back / Safety |
| Season | 2024 |
| Role | Veteran defensive back — graduate season |
This chapter was about more than stats. Williamson entered Clark Atlanta as a grinder — a player who had walked on at a Pac-12 school, battled through a pandemic, competed in multiple programs, and refused to stop. That energy was exactly what professional scouts, coaches, and teammates want to see: not just ability, but character under pressure over time.
The Clark Atlanta season was the final chapter of the collegiate story. What came next was professional football — and a brand-new number.
